'Urquhart Mill' was completed in December, 2003, and is situated beside a farm and close to woodland some 3 miles from the village of Conon Bridge, giving superb views to the Cromarty Firth and Ben Wyvis.

There is a fenced garden where children can play safely.

The property was built and furnished to a very high standard and has full central heating as well as an open fire in the lounge.

Activities in the area include pony trekking, fishing, bird watching, dolphin watch and of course the golfer has many courses to choose from within a twenty mile radius.

There are leisure centres at Dingwall, Alness, The Black Isle and Inverness.

A large number of historic sites lie within a 20 mile radius of Conon Bridge. These include Castle Leod, Beauly Priory, St Andrews Episcopal Cathedral, Fortrose Cathedral, Fort George, Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, Urquhart Castle, Balnagown Castle and Cawdor Castle.

Well worthy of a visit is Cromarty (17 miles). Cromarty Courthouse was built in 1773, when commercial activity in the town had reached a peak, and is notable among the many fine Georgian buildings that have survived here. Today it is a visitor centre with animated period figures, a reconstructed trial, prison cells, and plenty of background information about its role when Cromarty was a thriving burgh (a Scottish town with trading rights).

High on the agenda of visitors to the area is a visit to Loch Ness (15 miles).

Loch Ness is part of the rugged Great Glen, which cuts diagonally right across the Highlands. Formidably deep, it is connected to the sea by Thomas Telford's Caledonian Canal.

The celebrated Loch Ness Monster was first recorded in AD 565. Numerous scientific expeditions, photographic investigations, and hoaxes have since failed either to disillusion believers or convince sceptics.

Two rival visitor centres in Drumnadrochit tell the story with audio-visual displays.

On the north lochside is Castle Urquhart, blown up in 1692, it is an impressive ruin giving magnificent views of Loch Ness.

Conon Bridge: 3 Miles. Dingwall: 6 miles. Inverness: 12 miles.
