Port Cottage is a converted traditional fisherman's dwelling situated a few yards from the harbour in the idyllic village of Portknockie on the Moray Firth coast.

The cottage has recently been refurbished and consists of a double bedroom, lounge, dining annex, kitchen and bathroom.

Portknockie is ideally situated for golfers with several 18-hole golf courses within close proximity.

There are two pubs and two shops within 300yds of cottage.

There are numerous coastal walks, many suitable for cyclists, including the millennium cycle route, which passes through the village using the old railway line. This part of the route goes over impressive viaducts at Cullen.

The world famous Malt Whiskey, Castle and Fishing Heritage Trails are all easily accessible.

Within easy reach are the marine aquarium at MacDuff, Duff House in Banff, the Scottish Tartan museum in Keith where there are kilt making courses, Baxters of Speyside, the Ice House at Tugnet and Speybay which is a nature reserve and the starting point for the Speyside Way.

Other popular activities in the area include pony trekking, mountain biking, fishing, sea angling and bird watching.

There is a small harbour with a slipway at Portknockie as well as a children's paddling pool.

Dolphin spotting cruises and fishing trips are available at nearby Buckie, MacDuff and other harbours along the Moray Firth coast.

The clean sandy beaches of Cullen are a short walk from the cottage.

Quality salmon and trout fishing are available locally.

Try the world famous haggis at Fochabers and the famous fish soup known as Cullen Skink at Cullen.

Aberdeen and Inverness are approximately 60 miles from Portknockie which is on a main bus route.
