Port Bàn is situated on the beautiful unspoiled coastline of the Knapdale Peninsula, where there are panoramic views of Islay
and Jura as well as magnificent sunsets from every mobile home.

Here is a peaceful haven for those who want to get 'awayfrom it all' in an area of great natural beauty with a rich diversity of wildflowers and wildlife.

The Holiday Park has half a mile of coastline with quiet sandy beaches and safe bathing within walking distance. There are kayaks and boats for hire with opportunities for inland and sea fishing.

A large play area is available for football and other sports as well as a tennis court and putting green. Mountain bikes are available for hire and there is a games room containing pool, table tennis, etc.

Interdenominational church services are held with programs for teenagers and children during July and August.
The Holiday Park creates the ideal situation for family reunions, church, social and youth groups to enjoy being together with the freedom of living apart.

There are wonderful walks in the area while for those who wish to venture further, there is much to see and do.

The picturesque fishing village of Tarbert (14 miles) hosts yacht races and music festivals (during May and September).
The village also has a golf course and award winning leisure centre and is a ferry terminal for sailings to Portnavadie on the Island of Bute. The ruins of a 15th century tower house, built on the site of a former royal castle, overlook the village.

A few miles distant there are also ferry sailings to the Islands of Arran, Islay, Jura and Gigha.

The villages of Lochgilphead and Ardrishaig (16 Miles) have a swimming pool, horseriding centre and tasteful gift and craft
shops.

Here too is the the Crinon Canal, used in the making of the film 'Parahandy'. The actual boat used during the filming ('The Vital Spark') is still to be seen here.

The small hamlet of Kilmartin is close to Lochgilphead and overlooks a remarkable prehistoric site. This area was occupied from early prehistoric times and has a concentration of monuments and sites that makes this one of the richest archaeological areas of Scotland.

Oban (50 Miles) is the major west coast resort and a ferry terminal for sailings to the Islands of Mull, Iona and the Outer
Hebrides. Oban has a Leisure Centre, Sea Life Centre and Animal Park, Golf course and a very good shopping facilities.

The famed MacGaig's Folly overlooks the town and offers wonderful views from this high vantage point. Campbeltown (50 miles) lies to the south and has a ferry link to Ireland.

Made famous by Sir Paul McCartney's song, the beautiful scenic route down the Mull of Kintyre passes Machrahanish beach, which is very popular with surfers.
