This unique detached cottage is located six miles south of Tarbert on the beautiful Kintyre Peninsula, set in five acres of mature woodland up an unmade farm road and enjoys beautiful elevated views across West Loch Tarbert to Jura and Islay.

The main feature of the house is a spacious split level lounge and galleried sitting room with open fire and vaulted beamed ceiling.

There is a dining room with a large, well equipped kitchen area.

Double bedroom with en suite shower room and two twin bedded rooms.

Throughout the property the floor is finished with reclaimed antique pine wood which gives the cottage a warm, cosy atmosphere.

The rooms are tastefully furnished with brass beds and many items of antique furniture.

Nearby Tarbert is built around a most attractive natural harbour, with many fishing boats and yachts.

Also nearby ferries can be taken to Islay, Jura, Colonsay, Gigha, Arran and across Loch Fyne to Bute.

There are many beautiful sandy beaches that stretch down along the Kintyre Peninsula and seals are often seen at Ronachan Point a few miles away.

There are many local visitor attractions such as Skipness Castle, well-established gardens, sea boat trips, the Crinan Canal and many good restaurants nearby.

Larkfield is an attractive south-facing stone built house with spectacular views over Tarbert Harbour and Loch Fyne.

The property stands in it's own walled garden, with woodland to the rear, in a quiet area of Tarbert village, and offers well-appointed and spacious accommodation.

Tarbert is a picturesque conservation village with a natural fishing harbour and a lively atmosphere both summer and winter.

It is a superb centre for sea fishing, sailing, walking, golf and touring the Highlands and Islands of southwest Scotland, or just a lazy holiday in beautiful surroundings.

There are several good public houses and restaurants in the village, a supermarket and a variety of other shops - all within easy walking distance of the house.

A ferry sails on an hourly basis, winter and summer, between Tarbert harbour and the Cowal Peninsular from where you can catch a ferry to the Isle of Bute or Dunoon.

Ferries sailing to Arran (summer only), Gigha, Islay and Jura leave from terminals within easy reach.

Taynuilt

Airdeny Chalets

Airdeny Chalets is to be found less than a mile from Taynuilt, in a quiet unspoilt glen, with spectacular views of Ben Cruachan (3650ft) and Glen Etive.  The 7 chalets are situated in 3.5 acres of private land, which has its own bluebell wood and a myriad of wildlife.  Roe deer, pheasant, buzzards and many other wild birds enjoy the peaceful, natural habitat.  The chalets each enjoy their own privacy and have their own parking area. There is plenty of space for children to run around in a safe environment.  An added bonus is that the chalet park is a ‘midge free zone’!  
The chalet park is open all year and is under the personal supervision of the owner who is resident on site and will endeavour to make your stay an enjoyable one. She ensures that the chalets are maintained to the highest housekeeping standards. 
All bed linen is supplied, but there is a charge if additional bedding is required.  Towels are available for hire, but must be booked in advance.  A cot and high chair are also available and need to be booked in advance.  There are laundry facilities on site, with a washing machine and a tumble drier.  Electricity is by meter and is payable at the end of the stay.
Dogs are welcome, but must be booked in advance as some chalets are dog free.  There is a small charge for each dog.  Dogs must never be left unattended in the chalet and must be kept on the lead and under control on site.  Care must be taken that they do not foul the area.

Taynuilt
• The village has an excellent general store, butcher, post office and tea room.  
• The train from Glasgow to Oban stops at Taynuilt and the main line buses also go through the village.
• There is a golf course, tennis courts, Presbyterian and R.C. Churches.  
• Excellent quality meals are available from the Taynuilt Hotel.
• Loch Etive is only a short distance away, where you can take a boat trip to the head of the loch and see seals and golden eagles. 
• You can also visit Bonawe Iron Furnace, which was established in 1753 and is reputed to have made cannonballs used by Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar.
• Inverawe Smokehouse is a short distance from Taynuilt.  It smokes fish in the traditional way and you can catch your own trout and visit the shop and tearoom.

• Oban is 12 miles away. There are ferries to Mull and Iona and other isles of the Inner Hebrides.  It has excellent shops, restaurants, an indoor leisure centre, 18 hole golf course, all weather tennis courts and bowling green.  There is a wide variety of entertainment in the evening.  It has a Tesco super store as well as a large Co-op, banks and cash machines.
• Visit Cruachan Power Station which is excavated from the heart of Ben Cruachan.  Visitors are conveyed into the cavern from the visitors’ centre by the side of Loch Awe.
• Explore the marine world through 30 close encounter glass displays at the Sea Life Centre near Connell. 
• Go to Seil Island by crossing the Bridge over the Atlantic.  Visit Easdale Quarry, An Cala Garden and Folk Museum.  Go on a SeaFari adventure to Corryvrecken and Garvellach.
• Visit Inverary Castle, the seat of the Duke of Argyll, and the award winning Inverary Courthouse and Jail complex.
• Wander round gardens at Barguillean, Achnacloich, Ardchattan Priory, Crarae and Arduaine.
• Take a walk through Inverliever, Fearnoch and Glen Nant forests.

Two bedroom chalets 
• The chalets are graded with three stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.
• Each chalet has an open plan living area with a corner settee that converts into two additional single beds if required.  There are two armchairs, a coffee table, a 14” colour TV with DVD, a dining table and 4 dining chairs.  
• The kitchen is fitted with a full size electric cooker, fridge, microwave oven, electric kettle and toaster.  It is well supplied with, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.  Guests regularly complement us on how well it is stocked.  
• The chalets are fitted with electric wall panel heaters in the living room and bedrooms and are double glazed with cavity wall insulation. The water is heated by an immersion heater.
• The chalets have a twin and a double bedroom, each with a fitted wardrobe and a chest of drawers. 
• The bathroom has a shower, vanity unit and toilet, heated towel rail, shaver point and wall fan heater. 
• There is a picnic table and parking for two cars by each chalet.

Three bedroom chalets

• The chalets are graded with four stars by the Scottish Tourist Board. 
• Each chalet is spacious with an open plan living area, dining area and kitchen.  
• The living area is furnished with a large comfortable sectional settee, a coffee table bookcase, 21" colour TV with DVD and a CD player.  The dining area has a Shaker style dining table and 6 dining chairs. 
• The kitchen is fitted with a full size electric cooker, fridge, microwave oven, electric kettle and toaster.  It is extremely well supplied with, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.  
• The chalets have a double bedroom with a king size bed, a fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers and there is an en suite shower room with toilet, wash hand basin, and shower.  They also have either 2 twin bedrooms or a twin bedroom and a bedroom with 3’ wide bunk beds, each with a fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers.
• One chalet is designed with disabled facilities, suitable for a wheelchair.
• There is a bathroom with a bath, electric shower, wash hand basin, toilet, heated towel rail, shaver point and wall fan heater. 
• A drying cupboard is a useful extra.
• Electric wall panel heaters with timers are fitted in the living room and bedrooms.  Water is heated by a pressurised immersion heater with a booster control.  
• There is a deck area with garden furniture and parking for two cars next to chalets.
