The accommodation is located in the historic fishing town of Banff, on the Moray Firth coast.

Situated in the large walled garden of the main house, converted from the original servants quarters at the rear of a traditional Victorian town house, offering peaceful quality accommodation within easy walking distance of the town centre and harbour.

The cottage has a vestibule, kitchen/diner and lounge on the ground floor.

The upper floor has a shower room and a double bedroom with walk-in dressing room.

All windows overlook the gardens of the main house.

Banff is ideally situated for golfers with several 18-hole golf courses within close proximity.

Boat trips are available for dolphin spotting or sea fishing from Macduff Harbour.

Quality salmon and trout fishing are available locally with ghillies if required.

There are numerous coastal walks, many suitable for cyclists.

The world famous Malt Whisky, Castle and Fishing Heritage Trails are all easily accessible.

Within easy reach are the marine aquarium at Macduff, Duff House, the Buckie Drifter Museum, the Scottish Tartan museum in Keith where there are kilt making courses, Baxter's of Speyside, the Ice House at Tugnet and Spey Bay which is a nature reserve and the starting point for the Speyside Way.

Locally caught seafood is easily available from local fish sellers all year round at very reasonable prices.

Activities in the area include skiing (winter season-Lecht approximately 1 hour's drive), pony trekking, mountain biking, hill walking, fishing, surfing, sea angling and bird watching.

A short walk from the cottage is the golden sandy beach at Banff Links.

Aberdeen is 45 miles and Inverness is 75 miles from Banff, which is on a main bus route.

There are indoor swimming pools at Banff, Turiff and a leisure centre at Elgin that also has a skating rink.

There is a new 10-pin bowling alley at Macduff approximately 2 miles from the cottage.
